Today I built my first set of 2X2 weaves, based on plans given to me by my instructor. Should you be interested just email me for the plans. Total cost was less then $6 and took less then 30 minutes. I have borrowed a friends video camera so tomorrow we will start Susan Garrett's 2X2 weave training with 3 of my dogs, I am re-training Shayla and Saavy who learned using channel method, weave guides, shaping and a badly done version of 2X2 weaves. I am also starting my border collie puppy girl Sneak on this method, she has done some shaping with 3 poles and run 6 poles in a channel but not really been working weaves as she is just turning 1 year old. I'm real anxious to see how things go and very excited to get to be taping my results so I can see where improvements need to be made. cool eraine! i love reading blogs...especially about dog training! i will be "following" your blog. I trained Charlie's weaves with this method. at the time i felt like it was kind of disasterous but he learned his weaves in six weeks or less. now i'm using the channel method to speed them up and perfect the entrance. i'm anxious to see how this works out for others.
